Scouting for tech talent

South African Consul General in Los Angeles Cyril Ndaba has been tasked by the new Chair of the African Union to identify African-American technology innovators who can participate in African economic revitalization.

During the Africa Leaders Summit in Washington last summer, connecting black entrepreneurs from both sides of the Atlantic became an imperative as large multinationals dominated the official proceedings.  National Black Business Month developed a set of principles to guide African purchasers when evaluating American companies.


Seeking the fruits of Pan-African unity

After creating a continent-wide free trade pact last week, the leader of the African Union meet in Johannesburg this weekend to welcome Palestinian President Mahmoud  Abbas and to launch a continent-wide infectious disease initiative in the wake of the Ebola crisis.
