Federal energy loans not hitting Southeast, MidAtlantic yet

WASHINGTON–BLACK MONEY WORLDWIDE — More than $30 billion in U.S. Department of Energy loans have not been distributed to areas which fit the Biden-Harris Administration’s Justice 40 profile.

During a week of meetings with top legislators and administrators, the Journal of Black Innovation National Black Business Month examined performance of the equity action plans created as a result of a Day One executive order.

Founder John William Templeton, also chair of Central Brooklyn Economic Development Corp., was joined by partners in the Equity and Environmental Justice Center in Brownsville.

Loan Programs Office staff said $40 billion is yet to be committed and suggested there would be a wider distribution of upcoming projects.  To apply for Energy Dept. loans, visit Loan Programs Office | Department of Energy
