Free African Schools 2022

The traditions of African-American education are just as valid for today’s students as they were in 1763.  The misguided quest to find something “new” puts more than eight million students truly at risk when our institutions have a track record of excellence.  As part of the year of Woodson, marking the centennial of the historian’s first textbook, we provide 14 sessions on history as the key that unlocks greatness.

If you haven’t joined Free African Schools for the past six years, let this be your introduction to ReUNION: Education-Arts-Heritage the African children’s instructionalchannel.  Free African Schools is our recommended first step to enter a world of normalcy for Black children where they know how much they belong.

Session Two, Unlocking Juneteenth is a conversationwith the late Terry Collins, founder of the Third World Liberation Movement at San Francisco State University, which created the only College of Ethnic Studies in the nation in 1968.

Session Three, as the NBA Finals begin in San Francisco, describes the pioneers who integrated the most popular sports.

Session Four includes a reenactmentof the speech of Robert Russa Moton dedicating the Lincoln Memorial, comparing it to three other great African-American speeches.

Take our California African-American Freedom Trail tours June 1-15 to see first hand where history was made.
