Virginia ranks eighth in Black Business Index

RICHMOND — VOTEBLACKBUSINESS: State of Black Business, 21st edition ranks Virginia eighth in its annual Black Business Affinity Index.

The return of Democratic control of both houses of the legislature prevented efforts to dismantle its nationally-heralded minority business programs which dated back to the time of Gov. L. Douglas Wilder in the 1990s.
