Howard University alumnus Rep. Gregory Meeks advised us during the 18th annual National Black Business Month that he would have a busy schedule as first African-American chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The pace is heating up with tensions rising in Europe. He led a delegation to meet with NATO Secretary Genera. In the capital of Ukraine, the group met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksi Reznikoz. Elsewhere in the world, the House Foeign Affairs Committee recognzed Jan. 24 as the World Day for Africansand Afrodescend Culture
