SAN FRANCISCO — VOTEBLACKBUSINESS: State of Black Business, 21st edition ranks California as the second place in its annual Black Business Affinity Index.
The California Legislative Black Caucus reached a milestone by achieving an appropriation to continue the recommendations of the first statewide reparations task force.
It had earlier gained $20 million to repay the descendants of Bruce’s Beach. The new funding will help further research on properties taken from Blacks by eminent domain.
Sen. Steven Bradford, D-Gardena, also co-author of Name Image and Likeness legislation that transformed college athletics, said, “This is just a beginning.”
