he inaugural Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference (BIEC) at the Sandton International Convention Centre was opened by H.E. President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The Conference identified progress in the transformation of the economy, and provided information on efforts to increase exports, growth and job creation by black industrialists. It featured an exhibitors ‘marketplace’ with industrialists showcasing their products. The event recognized excellence in business with Awards that will be given to business persons.

Among other objectives, the Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference highlighted and showcased the importance of the Africa Free Continental Trade Area (AfCTA) in enhancing economic development and promoting intra-trade on the continent.
