Serame named Africa’s top finance minister
GABARONE — Soon after being named Africa’s top finance minister by Bankers Magazine, Finance Minister Peggy Serame offers a record budget following Botswana’s renegotiation with its diamond concessionaires.
The country is moving toward a 50 percent share of those diamond revenues, leading Serame to create an aggressive stimulus program to reach the goal of high income status for the nation’s population.
